Garmin 76CX Hand Held. What chip?
I need a Micro SD chart card with the mid atlantic canyon details and also the Delaware Bay and Intercoastal waterways. The hand held GPS is a Garmin 76CX. I think you can also burn a blank card from a cd rom. We tried calling the technical support but they have no clue what we are talking about. I am hoping someone on here can help me out.
Thanks in advance!

Crab mustard is good
I believe the 76 series will not take the new G2 vision charts so you would just need the G2 charts. You should probably just tell tech support that you need the chip marine chip for east coast, USA and they'll ship you one. They have a large coverage area chip that covers the entire east coast (more expensive), then they have other areas which you need to choose. Take a look look at their website... maybe that helps somewhat

The Garmin 76 series takes what is called "Bluechart" cartography. Bluechart cartography comes on a CD rom which you must upload from your computer at home onto the unit. The Bluchart CD you need is the one entitled Americas. The CD retails for either $139 or $149. That entitles you to unlock one region on the disc. I don't know how many there are on the disc but I would bet there are over 75 regions on the one disc. You can also upload additional regions for $99 after the first. Be cautious when you select the region you want. The back of the CD will show about 10 different photos of N & S America each of those photos has 5-10 unlockable regions. You don't get the whole photo you get one region within any one photo. A bit confusing but if you get a hold of a Bluechart Americas CD and look at the back you will understand immediately what I mean. Any West Marine should have them in stock. Hope that helps.
