    Furuno VX 2 temp problem

    Hi,

We have a Furuno VX2 unit with a transducer that has temp & depth, in the past couple of weeks the temp has started giving wrong readings 10ºc less than actual water temp........ any idea's on where to start looking?

Asuuming you have a transducer with the temp probe built into it.... These sometimes fail. You need to get your transducer info and contact Gemco who does all the aftermarket for airmar sales and support and get a new one. You will have to spice the wires of the new temp probe into the transducer cable. Its a fairly striaght foward process and the part will include the junction box for the splice. I had a b744v transducer and it went out. The part was about $50 and the install was about 30 minutes. if you don't have a replacble temp probe Airmar has several options for stand alone probes that can be added to the navnet via a nema connection.
