    Furuno TM258 to TM260 Upgrade

I have a Furuno 585 with a TM258. Thinking of doing an upgrade to a TM260. I fish in 75 to 200 fathom water. Will I be getting that much more with the TM260? TIA Ken

Certainly a step up from the 258 BUT if you want depth and clarity you really should be looking at a thru-hull trans. the TM models dont get anywhere near the same readings IMO.

    Aloha kaveman,

I would if I was willing to cut a hole in the inner liner of the built-in fishbox and dig out the foam. I would also have to route the transducer cable out from the fishbox cover in the middle of the deck. I have never seen nor heard of any Arima with a thru-hull transducer. Ken
