    Question FURUNO FISHFINDER QUESTION??

I am looking at the Furuno FCV-620 which has 600 watts and the FCV-585 which has 1000 watts. I currently have a Furuno LC-600 which has 350 watts and is not good in the canyon. I was wondering if anybody has a 620 and how well it works in the canyon. Does it have good bottom discrimination as I will be looking for burrows for Tilefish. The 620 would fit were the old unit is, if I go with the 585 I will have to move thing around a bit. Thanks

    Dr Mike-

What depth of water are you talking about here??

I have the 585 with the 1000W ducer and she's good up to about 1000 ft.

Fishing from the Poorman's up to the Lindy. I would need to have good bottom reading from 400-800 feet.
