    Fuel stains: how do I...

I filled my Pursuit last week with fuel prices being what they are and put the boat back under the canopy. Two days later I notice the a nice brown streak down the hull from the fuel tank vent. I've tried a few household products to attempt to get rid of the stain but no success. Any ideas on how to get rid of fuel stains off a white hull?

Try a magic eraser and if that doesn't work try FSR, fiberglass stain remover and then put a good coat of wax on her to keep that stuff from getting into your gel coat.

    good luck,

    Capt. Troy,

Thanks for the advice. I was told by someone the other day they swore by the magic eraser. That's my worry is the gel coat I hate this standard daylight hours. By the time I get home it's dark It'll be the weekend before I can deal with it again...

We're in the final stages of developing a gel-type Fiberglass Stain Remover. When the chemists are done goofing around with it, I'll post a thread looking for volunteers to field test the first batch.
