Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show / Ritchie Howell pics

Just got back from the Ft. Lauderdale boat show .. we had the most recent boat out of Ritchies shop on display .. its a C18 Acert powered 60' named Blue Runner ... I'll have the pleasure of running her in South Florida this winter for the owner with plenty of swordfishing on the menu as well as Bahamas and deep drop... next week a C32 powered 60' will roll out of the shop and get a full Pipewelders tower ... next up are a 54' ZF pod bridge boat and a 60' ZF pod powered express .. here are a few pics from the show

The 60 express should launch early 2013 .... C18 Acerts coupled to the ZF pod, Bausch tower, teak transom .. should cruise in the mid 30 kt range @ 75GPH. I can tell you , the 60 hull is a beast. We left Lauderdale Tuesday in a 25-30kt NNE blow when everyone else ran inside and made a very comfortable 24 kts right into it. I am anxious to see how it runs with the pods ...

I've cleaned tuna scales off of hardwood soles, tables, bulkheads and decks more than I'd like to. I've also washed blood off of the galley walls and on companionway hand holds as well as the head bulkhead and hatch.

What I wouldn't want to be faced with is taking tuna scales and blood out of carpeting, fine wall papered bulkheads and cushy padding material.

We can all appreciate the fine plush interior on these boats but the cost of upkeep has to be unreal.

Most of these things are nicer than my house. Heck, they've got more bathrooms and a lot more horsepower. I usually think I'm doing okay until I see something like this. Oh well, one can dream.

Fortunate One, I'm sure these guys all have a captain and mate to handle the maid's work. Nothing is impossible with unlimited funding.
