    Flo scan

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've had a 10 gph Floscan for 5 years now and at the end of last year the sender quit. I got a new sender and now it is inconsistent. The gph needle seems ok but the totalizer jumps around. It will get to about 1.8 and jump around between 1 and 2. Then it will jump to around 7 total and stay there for a while. Once it gets past 10 total it seems to settle down and be close to the pump reading when I fill up. I have an F115 Yamaha and 50 gallon tank, so it's not a big problem, just annoying. I thought it might be a bad connection so I checked all the connectors. Any ideas?

The new ethanol gas has messed up your flow scan. I had to order new sensing unit 148$ to fix the problem. Another gift from your US goverment!

    Think about a Pulsation damper

On some of the units I have worked with thier is a Damper installed, basicly an accumulator or chamber to absorb pulsations. Look on the flow scan website as they are OEM.

When I had a similar problem with the cylinder it was replaced and more occured. In the end I just replaced it for the extra money is was worth my time and the fuel saved once it was fixed.
