a few modifications on the sea craft

seacraft - it's not been launched this season - the deck's got a few soft spots - no such thing as a "pour in" repair for this...boat's been in the shop - collecting dust...

work's began on the beast !

console's out - deck hatches are all out,and recored, forward deck's out,and replacment core's in,laminated in place and waiting on refinishing...

planning on adding a pilot hose style enclosure around the center console - today,i managed to construct a "jig",it's made up from cheap crap underlayment - this will provide a template,to construct the house...

i like it ! got a real "down east look"...

none of these products will be used in the fabrication of the house, these are templates only...

got some more work done on the sea craft:

console's been modified -it's now the same width top to bottom - this eliminates the house sides tapering.this was done a little differently than screwing some plywood to the console...whole lot of core matt...

the console's been compltley recored -using penske board - all holes were glassed over.the original mounting flange has been removed,a replacement mounting flange has been laminated to the console - 2 pieces of 1/2" penske board, with another on top - this will be matted when the epoxy kicks - at that point in time, the house sides are ready to be laminated to the console - the end result is a one piece unit - light in weight and high in strength - no fear of rotting, due to the use of composites...

    check out the pictures...
