Aha! "Arctek Jim" mentioned to me that you had this gem in your posession!

Nice find! I have a 1964 Magazine Ad (full page) for the F233 with all it's specs. Do you have this also? If not, PM me your address, and I'll copy it for you and mail it to you! It's quite nice, what it shows for info!

Yes, I think there's a good chance that old Don had his hands on that hull LOL.

Retail price with standard options in 1964 for the F233 was $7,985. Convert that to today's dollars LOL, was quite a bit of money ($44,860 according to the best available conversion data!)

The 1964 was Left-Hand-Drive.....what is yours?

When I found it in the junkyard the helm was mounted to what looks like a factory dash on the SB side, but now that i have it all gutted I cna see where the used to be a helm and throttle mounted on the port side. It's neat tearing down an old boat down like that and peeling through the layers of its history. I'll PM you my stuff, that sounds like some good info! I really can't wait to get working on that project. My father-in-law is a boat nut and is building a big barn that will essentially be used for nothing but working on boats on Cape Cod, so I may haul it up there in a year or so when the barn is done. I can stare at that old hull for hours admiring the lines. Still have plenty of work left to do on the seacraft though

My favorite CC is a Dusky, also known as "the other Mako".
I owned a 17 Open Fisherman, and it was the best I'd ever owned...
There are many times when I wish I still owned it.

My apologies for the 'watermark' on the photo. That was once the practice for the other site when you uploaded a photo. I'm going to have to crop that out someday.

A buddy of mine's father has a custom built Buddy Davis 23'CC. Most beautiful lines I've ever seen. Not real good for fishing, much better for cruising the ladies around the James River!

    Sea Craft

Since everyone seems to be talking Sea Craft. 20 plus years ago I used to borrow a friend of mine's Sea Craft when ever my boat was broken. Old style hull, naturally, with twin Merccruiser V6 inboard-outboard. That was one sweet ride. That boat hull with the extra weight and stability of twin I/O could take on anything.

Nice boat double! Is it black or very dark blue? Hard to tell in the pic, looks black tho. My friend Mike has a '73 F233 CC (350 I/O). After fishing his with him several years, I ended up with my '74 I wanted the express style, though. Same ride, same exact hull, different topside. Love these old F233's (and old Seacrafts and a few other classic "battlewagons" LOL)

Well, I must say my favorite CC is this Wellcraft 230 Fisherman with twin 150 Mercs. Why ? You ask? Because it's mine! Everyone loves a smartass! Those Formulas are sweet looking rides!
