    Evinrude E-Tec

Has anyone fished with or have any general feedback on the E-Tec outboard motors? Any known problems or issues? We are re-powering with a pair of 250's now, so any feedback or information is appreciated.

When i was hanging out in Vencie LA people i spoke with were swearing by them. Even Mr Butler from Venice Marina said that he though there were the best on the market.

One of the capts a few down from me just repowered with trip 250's . He seems very happy with them. Theres a member striper101 he helps run the one with trips maybe he will chim in.

I'm running the 250 Etec on my Bluewater. Motor has been awsome so far very quiet, very effecient and has started on the first turn of the key each time. Make sure you have the I command gauges installed they offer a wealth of information, fuel mileage, consumption, water temp, pres, gps etc.

Ahh the E-Tecs! Love them! We have quite a few hours on them now without one problem! It took us a little while to figure out the right wheels for it but at 19 pitch we have them right now. Their quiet & efficient! If we do came accross anything, we'll let you know.

Thanks for the feedback, guys, and glad to hear they are working well so far. Please definitely report if you have any issues!

I am excited to get the E-tecs, if they perform anywhere close to what the marketing stuff says it should be a pretty nice upgrade.
