    Dusky 26 inboard

Someone tells me they know of a 26 Dusky hull down south that is based on a Ridgeway. Anyone know of this association ?

It's a renovation project apparently that has progressed to a complete gutted hull but little else. Can anyone tell me the history of this hull, or is it the old 26 hull with the 11' beam, and no relation at all to a Ridgeway ?

Anyone have any clue as to what I should look for in the hull ID numbers to give me some info ?

    Thanks,

    Roddy

Rod I fished on one of the older ones here..

they were basically ahead of their time in space and ride. call Dusky I do believe there is one for sale still down here with a tower and no engines. if it is the same model you are looking for they are no where near the everyday newer 26 dusky models but they had inboard rigs and room for stuff. still not fast but fished great.

I believe Dusky bought the molds from Ridgeway---When introduced the Ridgeway was a very expensive boat finished like a custom boat-teak decks and covering boards.

When Dusky produced the boats-became more of a production boat with the finishing of the Dusky line. I think Dusky reintroduced the boat a couple years ago and their website shows a outboard version. Ridgeway only offered inboards -single and twins.

I found this pic of a older model Dusky 26 center console. Is this the hull you are refering to? I think they were built in the late 70's early 80's. Dusky built a 26 express style using the same hull back in the day. Nice custom look......

Thanks for the replies, guys. I haven't seen the boat yet, but when I go to look I'll take some pics and get the hull ID and see what we have....

There seems to have been a few Dusky 26's, in various configurations, and one at least was about at the same time as Ridgeway hulls were being used too. So it may be one or the other......

Nope, different hull, Stuart. This hull is in Jupiter, I think in the Farms.
