Painted, motor hung, hardware installed, went for a boat ride.
Big Dan, was hard at work intalling cleats, hawse pipes, bow eye, today he and I finished and wrestled with the motor most of the afternoon.
He got it running, kind of, and we launched her and went for a ride.
Damn ethanol, we could only get the motor to run at 3/4 throttle and above, carb problems due to ethanol.
Boat shoved very easily, scary fast with the 25, not even running right, plenty of motor, the boat is very light, more stable than I expected, I am very pleased, so is the new boat owner.
how about some pics:
Painted
Rigged and ready to go
Big Dan and his new ride
At the boat ramp ready to launch
Hittin the water
Stability test
On hand for the launch were Natalie's Mom and Dad, my Mom and Dad, Joe and 4 Duck dogs, Sailor, Ginger and Gypsy all Chesapeakes, and Maybelle the Boykin. All of the dogs were running amuck wondering if anyone was actually going duck hunting or what?
Grammas and Joe looking on
Like I said before, Big Dan did a number on the Carb and Fuel pump to make it run just enough to go for a ride, you had to start it, slam it in gear and punch the throttle, so it was pretty much how the boat will be run most of its life.
Maybelle was in utter disbeleif that she got left out on the first ride
At rest
I think Gypsy likes her new ride
Joe approves with the thumbs up
