Drifting in a convertible

Thinking of Shark fishing Tuesday, waves are calling for a 2-4 out of South East. My Boat rolls quite a bit, I haven't drifter her in seas like this. If I deploy a sea anchor should it be straight off the bow or would at the sling line be ok to keep the dift a little flatter instead having the bow straight into the waves adn likely fising with lines running to the bow. I never had to deploy the sea anchor on this boat. i have used one to slow my drifting fluking but thats it. Any advice would be nice.
