I just purchased my dream boat for the type of fishing I enjoy. Judge 27 Chesapeake
1. weather protection for me and my crew (intense sun, cold or rain)
2. Big water boat yet powered adequately by a single
3. Huge fishable cockpit
4. Trailerable by a half ton truck
5. Decent ride in a chop with good stability at rest for striped bass fishing
6. 3+ mpg at cruise
7. Tons of storage
8. Family features like dinette, area for portapotty, full transom with swim platform
9. easily handled solo
10. Quality construction that is built to last a lifetime
11. Fantastic value/resale

boat looks great. I agree keep it simple! I re-build the 28' Bertrams down here and we still have the first one we did... just re-wired her all again just because I can make it more user friendly. oh and I had to install some underwater lights...
mine would be to completely re build my current boat....24 foot wellcraft airslot...would like to install a nice 350hp cummings diesel..bravo 3 outdrive and paint her ice blue with a dark blue doot stripe and top of the line electronics..and up the tankage from 120gallons to closer to 160.....pocket canyon rocket with that engine and outdrive combo...
My Dad went buy to see it the yesterday and said it looks like you could almost get the Duffy 35 into it. The duffy 31 will fit in it once it's finished.
I was shocked when i saw it for the first time. It looks huge for a 31.
The guys at Composite Yachts in Cambridge MD are building it up. They seem like a skilled company and have offered excellent advice to date.
RP seemed to build it like a battle tank really over the top glass work.
