Diesel Prices

More than once I’ve heard people complain about the price of gas and specifically diesel. And superficially it doesn’t make sense that a product that requires less refining cost more. I was kayaking the other day with a guy that builds biodiesel plants. He explained that the primary reason diesel cost so much more is the added commercial tax that is included in the price. WAY TO GO CONGRESS! What a great way to stimilate the economy by heaping more taxes on the guys and gals that acually work for a living to build our economy up. Well if you feel like complaining about the price, direct it at your elected officials that can rectify this by adjusting the tax.

I was just reading this morning on CNN.com that 73% of
the cost of a gallon of gas is for taxes. I'm sure diesel is the same or close to it. It's BS and we are blaming OPEC.
I don't think so, the problem is right here. Funny how niether
presidential canidate touches this one.
