thanks for the update.
As a detroit 6v92 owner, I will be very interested to see what the outcome is on this. I have dealt with similar issues several times and try to keep a very close eye on operating temps with these engines.

Update
Cleaned the Heat exchangers, After coolers, Gear oil coolers, flushed out the whole system, new coolant, done the sea trial and a 7 hour trip, seems to have done the trick, after reading all replys and pm's it all comes down to maintanance, very regular with these engines.

Have been reviewing your thread for a couple of weeks as I have been fighting a problem. Had done many of these things, but finally nailed my problem today. Impeller cover! This web site lead me right to it.
