this will keep her from moving, as has been done with many boats. So many in my mind I can't even begin to name them all. .. Just because you fasten okume plywood doesn't change that fact. Please, once again if you have proof that it does then lets hear about it!!!!
The glass is moving with it.

I hope they epoxied the inside also. Whatever you do to wood you must do to both sides. Otherwise moisture will go thru the wood and stop at the epoxy and rot the boat from the inside of the plank out.

About the only thing you can coat wood with that will stop moisture penetration close to 100% is wax

As far as carolina style builders forgive me if I talk in generalities instead of naming specific names. But here are a few things that to me seperate the better builders.

1. Do they have decent tools and equipment. Its real hard to build a good product without them. Some guys manage to get away with using contractor saws and similiar dainty equipment. If they don't have a 5hp table saw, 8inch jointer, 15inch planer and a small bandsaw. INMHO They are underequiped or capitilized. Brand new this is less than 10,000 in equipment and you would be amazed how many don't even have this.

2. Are they boatbuilders or charter captains. Don't get me wrong there are a few captains that have turned into fine builders, but not all. Hard to be really good at two things in life.

3. Are they open to new ideas and products. Most Carolina builders are really bad about this. They learned how to build one style of boat and thats all they will build. You can build incredibly strong light wood composite boats with kevlar and Carbon Fiber. I mean bullet proof(literally). Almost no one does it.

4. Some builders hire and keep top notch guys that know what they are doing. These guys usually just have a just a few working for them. Others go so far as to try and hire illegal undocumented UNSKILLED labor with trying to pass themselves off as a craftsmen builders. Just look at the contsruction photos from some builders and you will see exactly what I mean.
