Seriously. you have two V-12s in a 44 ft boat? I would love to see some pictures.
BTW, I saw the pics of the boat in your other thread. Nice looking boat. Good luck with her.
You can if you try to replace a pair of 550HP engines with them.
Not trying to break your chops, but QSM11s are the popular replacement for 6V-92s.
And I'll agree with both you and Frank; Cummins, Cummins Cummins!
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.
there not V12s,700 HP inline 6.Tom
I think if I had a choice from scratch I would go for the QSM11s also.Tom
Then they're 3406s. In that engine series the last two are number of cylinders.
CAT keeps changing their defintions of stuff. i.e. 3116 is 1.1 liter per cylinder, 6 cylinders. But a 3208 is not 2.0 liters per cylinder, they're 1.3 per and eight cylinders. But there are no 3212s or 3206s. It's just weird. Actually their new system almost makes sense, since the number after the "C" is total displacement in liters.
Anyhow, more useless information that you didn't need to know. Good luck with the boat.

SORRY,went brain dead!C12s!Tom
Cummins, Cummins, Cummins...If not QSM's, QSB's would make a great package. I am fairly sure you can get both on the recon market which can save you lots... Either way let us know what you do.
