Contender Marine - Possible fraud

A piece of an email that I received figured I would pass it along.... I have yet to see one, but a true Contender hull ID 110% always starts with JDJ no matter what shape size or year. A full hull ID will read in different variations of JDJ33190J607 but always starts JDJ

Please be aware that a new company called Contender Marine appears to be passing their boats off as Contender Boats. From what I understand, it appears that the owners of Contender Marine are our friends from Avanti Boats. They also appear to manufacturing another boat called Blue Sea Boats. Contender Boats is aware of the issue and I believe will be taking legal action against the owners of Contender Marine. Contender Marine has their own USCG Hull ID but has been affixing Contender Boat logos on their vessels. My guess is that since Avanti is blacklisted by most banks, they are now
manufacturing under other names and trying to hide their origin by using similar names from other established manufacturers.

At this point, a lot of this is not 100% confirmed

I know the avanti name has been used by many builder over the years, the last time was when a guy I know had a boat built the builder told him he could not finish it or deliver it unless he had 3 more orders behind my buddys,, so my pal went to work selling a few more boats so he could get his, sounds like a fiberglass pyrimad skeme
