Contender Hull Warranty?

Does anybody know what the hull warranty is on a Contender?

I have a 2002 31 open with some fairly significant gel coat issues which very obviously come form a flaw in application. I havent called Contender directly yet but I thought I would ask to see if any of you know.

Thanks in advance!

p.s. - Where is the Contender factory?

good luck.......I own a 33T and have some issues with gel coat.....the factory will send you gel coat but you have to pay for it...the factory isnt gonna do anything for you so I would hire a fiberglass guy and get the gel coat from the factory

I kind of assumed this based on some previous attempts at service but I just thought it was worth asking .... with the small hope that someone would tell me they would come pick it up, fix it all for free, and lend me a new 33t with triple 350's while it was being fixed.

Unhappy WOW!

I cant believe what im reading .I would not have assumed that contender would have treated there customers that way!Im quite suprised to hear this.If it is under warranty its under warranty thats my take on it!If it was A flaw in anything they do and or did,it should be there responsibility, whether structurally or in fiberglass and or gel coat and so on.

Im not trying to make this a Contender bash session. As I said ... I have not even given Contender the opportunity to rectify this problem so they have not treated me any way yet. I dont even know what the warranty is on my boat which was why I posted this thread .... to see if anyone might know or have dealt with them on issues like this themselves.

Mary ... if you run across this thread ... you have expressed interest in helping me with this in the past and I appreciate it. Do you have any idea how Contender usually handles these type of issues? In warranty, out of warranty?

Does anyone know how many years th ehull is warrantied?

Again, I will try to contact Contender directly, I was just curious if anyone here knew.

Thanks

Post Nauti I was not turning this into A bash session.

I was mearly stating the obvious. And that I was quite suprised to hear that Jimmys boat was not repaired when he called them and that they charged him for the materials.I think contenders are some fine boats. But if mary told you that she would help you maybe you should have pm'ed her directly not to stir up any trouble anyway.Because there are A lot of contender haters on this board and it gives people opportunity to talk.jm2c

Jimmy I offered to see if the factory would take care of it, and I said that they probably would and you said don't worry about it just get me the gel coat

I specifically remember asking you for your hull # and to send me pictures of it to see if I could get it covered.
