Think that the boats being in similar colors and the same models people have them confused.

double check your info, even Nauti Natured knows he is the 3rd owner, as he has the original service records from Jenn (read his post).

I do not know what to tell you but you should of checked with other people, I guess.

Ian Purchased his first Contender the 31that Nauti Natured now owns thru Ben Crago at Oyster Harbors who brokered it for Jenn Clarke it was a steal at the time asking price of like 82K or something as the boat had several hundred hours on it. I think this was 2004 or so i know Ian is the original owner of his 33T as I sent him all the electronics for it in a super rush before it was shipped up here.

Does Jenn not remember selling the boat to Ian? Thats pretty funny.

Well there is something to be said about Contender Boats , in a resented storm off of the Jersey Shore , 15 boats sunk in there slips in Ocean City , New Jersey ! I believe the only boat Not total by the Ins. Companies was a 2004 - 21ft Contender CC , it is being rewired , new T-Top and New motor ! I may post some pic’s of the boat . Now -"how is that for resale value ",say what you want about Contender boats " they hold there value " Cardinal Joe

Post Cardinal Joe quetion how is cape horn about warranty issues and are they transferable

The question isnt whether contenders hold there value but,Warranty means everthing to me.Hence if I where to purchase a boat nearly new from an ska guy with perhaps 100-300 hours on it and it starts to stress crack or worse A structural problem.what do I do???It is not A transferable warranty so im stuck with A boat and am going to have to flip the bill.I will def be in the market for A new or newer boat in the next season and this is something to consider.I want A company to stand behind there product no matter how hard I beat the boat! And I dont want to have to kiss my dealers ass to have them fix my boat when its common sense to transfer warranty from buyer to buyer.jmy2cents

Here are the the facts on my boat: Jenn had two 31's that were identical before the recent 31t. They were both called Femme Fatale. The first one was the one that she sold to Ian in 2004 with ~600 hours on it (my boat) .... the second was an identical boat that was just recently sold by Ben at Oyster Harbor's Marine. I am the third owner of this boat. Ian bought it from Jenn and I bought it from Ian. I know this not only because that is what Ian told me but because I have service records and I just spent 20 hours compounding out the faded gel-coat that said Femme Fatale on it.

Ian bought his 33t brand new last year.

I am not trying to fool anyone here or cause any problems. I had a simple question regarding the warranty that Contender offers and I think it has been answered

I will send pictures to Mary and see if she can do anything which would be GREAT... BUT, I dont expect anything to come from it since I am not with-in Warranty. On the other hand, if its determined to be a factory defect I would expect them to fix it regardless of warranty.

Jenn not remembering selling the boat to Ian is ... ummm ... odd to say the least.

Cheers

Stress cracks aka as Crazing and a few other terms are NOT techinically covered under any boat manufacturers warranty 1st year 1st owner, transferable hull warranty so on and so forth. Airvoids are under the red tape too. Read the warranties on Wellcraft Whaler all of them it says it loud in clear. But the factories do take care of them.

Nobody has thier warranties on thier website or I would be coping and pasting ang highlighting all the gray areas

Even lifetime hull warranties cover only "Structual" issues. Airvoids and stress cracks are considered cosmetic

I though there was confusion I was refering to her last boat that just sold a few months back. I asked if she was the original owner of her 2004 boat.

Send me some pics

Monster Shark- Contender

All I know is we just fished the Monster Shark on Joe V's new 33 and we buzzed by the fleet on the way out and on the way back in pretty good comfort in some decent seas on day two, save for the occasional larger waves that hit us; I have to say she ran great, solid and is one fun ride!
I was impresssed...About as dry as you can expect for a CC as well.
Joe just had to do a little touch up on some of the wire and teeth marks we left behind, sorry bro!
And thanks Contender for picking up the slip and ICE for our team, appreciate that!
