    Cool CONTENDER 33 STEPPED HULL

CONTENDER 33 T Step Hull, another one of the LATEST AND GREATEST 33 ft. boat from the Contender Boat Company. The Step hull 33 Tournament Edition can be powered up to Triple 350 HP Yamaha or Mercury Outboards will reach speeds above and beyond competitors. This is a race-bred fishing platform that will perform the obvious.

ps. Before anyone asks, the lowers were removed off the boat in the convention center as seen in the pictures to allow the boat to be positioned where it was at due to the height of the ceiling.

    Thumbs up Nice vessel Mary.

Who was the designer working on this project? Its nice to see Contender getting into the ballgame.Out of curiosity how much over the 33T is the 33ST in regards to price? and how much faster cruise and top will it get over the standard deepV with say trip 350 configuration? DRIER?or wetter? just wondering.Im anxious to find this stuff out thats all.

Cruise speed will be about the same on both hulls, the rpm's will be lower on the step hull.

Top speeds will be 4-8 mph difference depending on the engine configuration.

The step is no drier than the v hull. In some seas states the step hull may allow more water to be blown back in to the boat.

Contender Boats is the designer and the price difference between the hulls is around 5k

    Post Mary.

I am assuming that the speed is in mph but correct me if I am wrong. With the standard deep V 33T didnt it top at about 70 mph with the trip 350 yamaha's on it? nice looking rig none the less and I would be proud to own her! MAN thats flying!

until we see speed limits on the water we will continue to go as fast as we want! But in A couple of those vids going through the intercoastal at 70-74mph is just plain nuts! I dont agree with that at all.But on the open ocean or bay on nice days I dont see why it would be A problem.Different strokes for different folks thats all.

Guy's, I was just curious. My bones won't take that sort of thing anymore. Fountain was looking to hire me several year's back, and took me out on a "sea trial". I guess it was supposed to "seal the deal". I never looked back, just not for me. Frank
