    Cockpit Cabinet hardware question?

    Cockpit Cabinet hardware question.

I have some cabinet doors that I need to fit out with hardware. We were planning on using butt hinges and some type of finger pull with a lock. But the guys made the doors almost 1 1/2 deep and we're having a hard time finding some type of latching hardware that will work correctly and provide a nice look.

I was wondering what's typically used on most boats as far as pull handles, hinges and locks if you're even using lockable hardware.

I've looked at some pop out pulls with a friction fit latch that would work but before I go down that road I'd like to know what works best.

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Pictures would help.

    Have you looked at Perko?

Hey F.O. its been a while, but I have been watching, but there is nothing further I can say about your build that has not already been said.

As far as the hatch hardware....check out: http://www.perko.com/PERKOCat305/Sec...binetHdwre.pdf

the link is to a .pdf file. When it opens, check out page 212. They may be what you are looking for.

    T380Fisher,

Thanks, Those are exactly what I was looking for.

Now if I could find who makes the latch that's used to hold the transom door open. Any idea on that one?

    clt_capt,

The one that you're using on your boat is the one that I was thinking about.

    Thanks.

Sam's is the supplier of older to newer Hatteras yachts parts, they have tons of high quality marine parts used in Hatteras yachts..the catalogue link is below. It is searchable and if you click on a part number it usually shows a picture of the part. Quite a bit of interior cabinet parts, latches, pulls, knobs etc and transom door parts.

    Thanks CG!

I guess I'm not going to get anything accomplished today other than ordering hardware.
