    MI Classic outboard resale value

My father has decided to sell an outboard motor and wants to know it's value.

It is a 1969 Kiekhafer Mecury Merc40, complete with the original box and owner's manual. Considering it's age, it is in amazingly good condition and runs perfectly.

I've searched around for a resale value, but haven't found anything.

Could somebody give me an idea what this motor is worth?

It's not old or rare enough to be of any great value to a collector. You might get a few hundred up to perhaps 400 to $500, depending on condition and an eager buyer. BTW, outboard motor collectors are a very cheap lot. I know, BC I've sold a few antique motors (30's and 40's vintage).
