    Chapmans Piloting

I have a brand new copy (well its a 2010 edition) of Chapman's Piloting just sitting on my desk. A fellow co-worker of mine was asking some common navigation questions--so I offered to give them this copy of Chapman's for free--a gift. I told this person its a good book and worth a quick read through the navigation /rules of the road section to brush up on their nav. skills---thought I was doing a good thing here, but this person seems as if I hurt their feelings suggesting they read up for future knowledge??
Oh well , was just trying to help----would anyone else find this offer offensive??

I've been operating boats since,... well, never mind. I own a copy of Chapman's. My father, who served in the Coast Guard, had a copy of Chapman's.

Give it to somebody who will appreciate it. Obviously this guy already knows everything. That's why he was asking questions.

OTOH, maybe he's illiterate and ashamed to admit it.
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.

I have had a copy of Chapman's in my bookcase for over 40 years, licensed for 15 and often refer our Teen Angler's members to it for reference.
