.. you may turn into a 'world cat lemon creature'...
I like the big cats though they are good rigs if you can hp the boat to gear and weight. we used to have a saying for a while if it's not a Cat it;s a dog...
the smaller boats all go prop pockets also and then stick huge wheels that produce lots of cavitation, which sucks the hell out of the power you have.. and makes white water out the back so far you'll never see your baits..
not bashing cats here at all either .. they are a great little and big engines to me I have been very pleased. BUT most guys that I know that run them hard get 1/2 the life of those who don't mind getting there a bit later by taking them a cpl hundred off the pins..the motors almost all have computers now days also so you can see how they have been run.
I run a little old Predator walk around with Yanmar 440s and they have lots of hours now and turn up nice..
I assume these are electronic engines. I would have to agree with Hubris. Getting more HP is NOT going to get you any more RPM's as these engines are governed. Is the boat a dog out of the hole or are you looking for more speed? The 3116 and 3126 can be very tempermental. How many hours on them?
