    CAL A/C Pump Warranty Sucks

    Just a heads up...

We had one burn up in the islands... In warranty period so shouldn't be an issue.

"Need to take it back to distributor and will take months to possibly warranty"... We had ordered direct from them!

So I have to drop moderate heavy scratch on a new one or go entire Florida/ Carribean summer without A/C..

prolly a good idea to have a back up when in islands during summer months. You remember last time you had "island fever" ??? No little island boys will be safe

I am an island boy... look feel and sound the part. Picked up some accent while there now nobody here can understand what I'm saying... When I have tough island time my wife gets it good when I get home though...

Normally don't care a whole lot for West Marine but they have on several occasions come through in a pinch. They did me right today... no thanks to CAL...

I burned one up a few years ago that was 12-15 months old. I called them and they had me send it directly to them (i bought it directly from them as well)...they replaced it in a couple of weeks. Having said that, I have since burned that pump up in a year or so...as a result I am not a fan of their pumps. I have since switched to a March pump.

Our area was customized to take the cal ms1200 only. Even original cruisair won't fit any more since the water maker went in...
Boss wanted a stainless pump and we got one...

Down here it gets a work out feeding both fore and aft systems. Even set at 80 degrees runs almost non stop...
Again the one we have we ordered direct and they will only take it back through a distributor. They stopped taking them back direct I guess cause of so many of them crapping out...
