Callinectes Boatworks of Kennebunkport, Maine, received a Maine Technology Institute seed grant of $12,500 to develop production tooling for a new runabout.

Last summer, the company launched a "modern retro-styled" 16-foot runabout and said the it garnered attention at boat shows where it was showcased.

The first hull from the new tooling is scheduled to hit the production floor in June.

"MTI support, at this juncture of business startup and global economic conditions, is of tremendous advantage to Callinectes Boatworks," owner Glen Shivel said in a statement.

"Support will allow the company to continue focusing in-house funds on building brand recognition, product marketing and manufacturing refinements, thus helping secure a brighter future in this economic setting," he added.

Wow you sound like a real contributor here. I guess my boring eye water posts as you call them are useless to YOURSELF and not others. It obviously interest you enough to click on it but you have tp ***** about something so why not start with me. Not sure how these posts benefit me in any fashion other than bringing knowledge to the public.

Maybe you're trying to set a record for the most posts with "0" replies. Take a look.
I know the real reason for all the brain-numbingly tedious posts is to get your business logo and info in front of as many people as possible.
But I think at this point pretty much everyone knows what business you're in and, at some point, when you keep shoving yourself in front of people, I think it begins to have a negative affect. I know it sure did with me and I've only been here a short while.

If you dont like it dont read her posts or better yet pull your head out of your ass and post some thing helpful useful or at least friendly. There is nothing boring about luckys posts what so ever. If anything she is showing the state of the industry. Also shows that she is a researcher and continues to find current boating industry news info! Might want to not "T" off the person that feeds us so much info! In addition if you enjoy boating and are from the northern states along with being an attorney, you would find it interesting that in the state of economic downfall the world is in now; a business is receiving a grant to build boats. That’s pretty interesting. I have a great deal of respect for your work however like all trades there are countless people who provide an awful stereotype for the rest of the field – your post (s) shows this.

Had no intentions of changing what I do what so ever. Not to mention Admin asked me to post what I get more frequently to keep the folks informed of import matters or new products that consumers of this site want to see.

I get about 30 reports a week that I read thru and share what would be important to the people of this site.

Maybe someday moveon will read one of the many that I post and find it useful and then change his mind.

I have about 30 to post later tonight so stay tuned for some news

Mary..just keep doing what your doing..don't even give it a second thought..I know I speak for just about everyone here or not no matter..I/We value the news' and choose to read what is of interest to each of us..having said that..

I think a member of any "Bar Association" ought to have better public forum manners than the outburst by the esquire from CT. No Judge would stand for that nasty tone, we won't either.
