    Buddy Davis..RIP JAN 17th 2011

Needs some prayers. He is currently hospitalized and fighting some pretty serious issues. He is not only a visionary in the boatbuilding business but one of the best family Men I have ever known. My prayers for You Buddy!

I think in many ways Buddy Davis put Carolina Boats on the map as we know them. I can say it was the first recognizable example other than the Harkers Island Style growing up.

Prayers for Buddy Davis going up. Hope it all works out.

First of all, I heard he is pretty sick and in Hospice. So, Buddy Davis Salute'..........Also, I agree with you ace. He did a lot to make Carolina Boats so desireable. I remember when they were the CHIT! Yea, he went broke many times but, what guy making it his way hasnt stumbled? Last week, Don Tyson died.........He is famous for making kids fat and s h i t food, not for fishing. Anyone can fish with his kind of money. All over the world. Buddy Davis is a one of a kind legend, Don Tyson carries his jock strap. Buddy Davis is a true legend in the sport.

    Hey innovator,
I believe he's in his late sixties, maybe early seventies. I worked for him for nearly ten years and even back then i could'nt keep up with him, think thats how he got the nickname "TAZ" as he was like a whirlwind.,never got to fish with him but i heard he was like that as a mate and a fine captain! Many wishes of a speedy recovery and prayers Buddy!
