This is how new and great thing's get started,

Some one's got a vision and does something with it. Modular design isn't new. I've been around engine's for only a few week's now so please excuse my ignorance. I am impressed with the efficency of your crew to R&R the 1 cylinder in great time. Please don't take the next part as a slam because it isn't, it's more like critical thinking in my eye's. You're starting off the conversation with how fast you can tear it down. The number's I'm interested in would be the hour's (underload) that this new engine has proven to be able to run. We are talking about return on investment here. Power to weight and HP to CI is OK, but durability is where the rubber meet's the road. That's the selling point of diesel.
I like what you have presented and would like to see more. Good luck with the backer's your looking for, hopefully they can see the future as clearly as you. Frank, SeaPower

I understand what you're saying and I fully agree. As of now, we are still trying to get everything running the way we think it should and getting the power that we want. As soon as we get all that together, we will be running a few different standard tests (NATO, ISO, etc.) and see where we stand. I will be sure to update everyone when all that happens. Unfortunately I must say that it will not happen until we get some funding.

But look on the bright side, when the engine does break down, even if it is a little sooner than one of the other company's, you will more than make up that time difference by not having to take the engine out of the boat to rebuild it
