That is what I was thinking about doing w/Coat #4. I will sand it down with 320 and apply #4 with a thinned mixture.

    Thanks!

Thanks Crispy, coat #4 went on tonight.

I thinned the mixture with acetone and it went a lot better.

I will see how it looks tomorrow, it has been taking a while to dry due to all the rain in the mid atlantic lately.

    Thanks Guys.

    south shore marina

    mike,
not sure where you dock your boat but i heard last night that south shore marina at the inlet got dredged out and has plenty of water at low tide(like 17 feet!) ... slips for $1300 with electric/water ... don't know for sure but might be worth looking into if you stay on your boat

We're @ IRM, I believe it is $6800/year including water, electric, winter storage, (1) haul and launch/year and powerwash when it comes out of the water.

I have never heard of South Shore.

I googled them and it looks like its private, for homeowners only.

holy crap! guess my source was waaaay off then lol ... the wife and i looked into IRM but our camper is on long neck which makes a looonnng drive to get to the boat. the 23' Bone Man isn't real conducive to staying overnight ... are you a member of the IRBA over there? we probably know some of the same peeps ...

Coat #6 just went on an hour ago, it looks fantastic in my opinion. I will snap some pix and upload them a little later on.

Coat #7 was just applied, I have to say I am very pleased with it.

I polished the rod holders too, see pix.

I would like to thank everyone for their help on this project.

Thanks JD, I am looking forward to getting this put back together. I have to do the underside of the rod holder portion, and the backside of the drawer front. I think I am only going to apply 2-3 coats on them, just to keep them water tight.
