i like micron csc...if your boat is equipped with an aluminum outboard bracket,be sure to leave a gap of 1" around the bracket-no paint...be sure to paint the bracket with an antifouling paint specifically formulated for aluminum-this is a "tin" base, versus a "copper" base-using a copper based antifouling paint on an aluminum product will result in a galvanic reaction-the aluminum will be eroded away...not good huh ???
I never though I would say it but my new to me Parker came with Hydrocoat on it. I have had it for two seasons now.
Yes a water based anti fouling ablative paint. Who would have though. It works great! And it is nice to was your hands after with water.
The only place I get Barnacles is on the braket and tabs with the tin based stuff????
Any reccomendation Jaws to help stop that?
The boat stays in all year.

Has anyone tried Petit Vivid? They come in white and would look good on my boat but I have zip experience with antifouling paint in this neck of the wood. All I know is that something is needed other than my weekly cleanups. I also have an aluminum bracket covered in epoxy primer and then Imron, what to use there? I think I will opt to lift the outboards out of the water so nothing should be needed there but the tabs is also another issue.

I heard though that 10 penny's in your bracket gives ya luck though...LOL have a great day! I use the same stuff for tabs etc and on a hot part of the day you can get one of the air canister sprayers and do inside your engine trim and bracket stuff.
yeah, what about the trim tabs, mine were already painted when i got the boat. i noticed they do have some rust holes in them and have since put anodes on them. i am having all the paint soda blasted off and will need to start with a good barrior coat. after removing the anodes, should i paint the tabs the same as the rest of the hull, barrior coat too?
For aluminum, I start with 2 coats of Primacon, then follow with 2 coats of Trilux. Don't use the paint in the spray can, the coats are WAY to thin. Buy either the quarts or the gallons, depending on you needs. Both the the primer and the paint are Interlux products.
geeesh I would not spray a boat bottom read more,...
Micron 66. Multi-seasonal and nothing grows on it. It is harder than the other Microns.
