Werent the old ana-log ( I can't believe this goody two-shoes software is censoring the first four letters of a signal description!!) bag phones a lot more powerful, like 5 watts or something as compared to a 200 milliwat limit on something held next to your head? I could be wrong on the numbers, but I think I am right on the relative order of magnitude of the transmitter outputs.

Bag phones used to be 6 watts and the new phones today i think are 3/10 of a watt.

I know that there are antenna boosters available (fixed mount) that allow you to use your normal cell phone and extend your range, but I haven't used one.
Where did you get your digital Motorola bag phone and who is your carrier ? Is your phone the Motorola M800 Bag Phone ?
    Thanks
