boat lift switch question?
Just had a Davit master installed for my little boat. Great lift but I don't like how I have to hold switches to keep lift moving. If you let go the spring loaded switch turns off. Its a pain. I would like switch to stay in position so I can work with tackle or supplies while boat takes minutes to lower.
Which switches do you lift guys have? Installer said he could order the other kind but does not rec because people have walked away with lift still running |

He knows what switches to use. Tell him what you want not what he recomends. It would be a pia if i had to hold the switches on my lift.

I agree with Deadeye. I've used a lift for for years and I darned sure don't stand there and hold a switch. You're guy can install a limit switch to make sure you don't poke your riggers through your cover.
