Boat Cosmetics

I have been working on a beautiful 1986 37ft Bertram. This is one mean fishing machine!

The owner who is a hardcore fisherman has been gracious enough to hire me to restore her back to the original luster she use to once proudly wear. The name of the boat is the GOOD NEWS! She has seen more charters then anyone can count.
She has alot of hazing and some spots that have oxidation setting in. I have compleatly sealed the cockpit, this will help the clean up after a hard day of fishing and will make the clean up of fish blood a breeze.
I have been using a buffer and 3M Imperial compound on her, working out any swirls with Finesse It made also by 3M then sealing with colinite paste wax.
I will soon be listing my achievements in detail along with pictures (If I can get my pictures from my camera phone onto my computer

)
She is a work in progress. But when she is all done she will outshine the other boats!! I am already getting many remarks by other owners on how well she is coming along. I cannot wait til she is shining bright and looking new again like boats are meant to be!

SG, I don't know much about cellphones, but if you don't find a way to download the pictures from your phone you could e-mail them from the phone to yourself (if your phone offers this "feature").

Ha.. that's funny.. I demand that the boat I work on to stay perfect... Good because I fish in pink fishing boots.

it's a girlie quirk of mine.. and I have been told that pink should not be worn on boats.. But I guess they are just jelous men who are afraid of pink

I really hate rainy days.

It was suppose to quit raining about 1pm... but it is still sprinkling outside. maybe I will be able to get back to my boat work tomorrow, then maybe some fishing this weekend

here are some pics of my ride.It has always been a head turner.Put it this way my heads and showers are waxed.

Wow! she's pretty.. I like the sleek look of no bow rails.. I agree with you on waxing the head and showers... MUCH easier to keep clean.

I have this theory that if a boat is sealed with lots of wax it is much easier to keep up in the long run, especially if you fish alot.

there is nothing worse then coming in after a hard day of fishing, working your ass off to wash her then the next morning seeing fish scales stuck to everything... with wax they just slide off
