I have some better pics on my computer at home,I'll send them when I get home.you should try a prodict called perfect polish. It's great for painted boats, easy to use and lasts a long time.I did my hull with it and it is still beading water a year later.does'nt last as long on gelcoat,I think it soaks it up.Fleetwax for gelcoat.

I have used Fleetwax before it is good stuff... I will have to give Perfect Polish a try.

Yayyy.. it will be clearing tomorrow. I will be able to get the Port side of the flybridge compounded and waxed!

A captain came by today and hired me to wax their 65ft Buddy Davis on the weekends, They want to get it ready to head to Mexico for the spring. I'll be taking before and after pictures of it. As soon as I can figure out how to upload some pictures I'll share this eye candy with you guys.

well, I got the flybridge compounded today.. I will have to wax it on Monday, I start on the 65ft Buddy Davis tomorrow.

My employer came down to the boat at 2:45 and said..."We are taking the boat out at 3 today" so I put all my equipment away and cleaned up a bit. We had the mechanic onboard so he could tweek the engines a bit. And I noticed that the wake the boat was throwing is off on the starboard side.. so I guess the props will have to be looked at now. Hopfully it's just barnacles and not a bent prop.

At least I can see my reflection on the port side now.

I could not tell, ... we had the mechanic on the boat today for the run, He said he did not feel any. But, he was a little concerned about the wake.

when i recently redid miy boat i used two coats of fleetwax and 1 coat of starbrite polish(inside and as well as outside)- very happy with it, but i cannot imagine hand waxing 3 coats of wax to one of you guys large sportfishers. In addition then i woody wax all my brightwork at least once a month- or try too- and then the teak, and the curtains- plxus or 210 once a month as well- its all a lot to keep up with but i think its worth it- but i enjoy doing it hanging out on the water when im not fishing- i might enjoy doing it for some extra money myself when i retire in 5 years and 3 months, lol. craig

Well, I worked on the 65ft Buddy Davis today and yesterday... THAT IS ALOT OF BOAT..

Yesterday, I polised the metal on the fighting chair and the cockpit controls.. that was about all I could do it was still raining a little. But at least the fighting chair is nice and shiney

Today I compounded and hand waxed the starboard side slick on the bow. I used the buffer and 3M imperial compound to remove some oxidation that has set in on the paint. Then I used the Starbright wax with teflon.
I can do my make up on the bow of the boat now. .. I will be back on the GOOD NEWS! tomorrow.. I realllly wished I could transfer the pictures from my phone to this computer ...
