Well the crew in the shed have been moving along nicely since the last post.

Here is a picture of a step to enter cabin made from native Cherry wood. It's not quite finished yet, but when they are completed they will look too nice to step on.

The dinette table is made from the same wood.

Hmmmm I wonder how it would look on the transom?[

Port side final fairing work almost 100% Complete. Check out those sweet lines. I have a feeling that she won't be confused with any other boat.

Forward deck being installed!

Another decking picture.

Underside of cabin deck. She sure has gathered a lot of dust lately. The items leaning against the bulkhead are the interior decks. Plumbing is still going on below decks so they can't be installed permanently yet.

Starboard side is close but it is in need of final fairing.

Rope Locker Bulkhead installed and glass being installed.

The skirts have been installed on the port and starboard sides and it cleaned up the detail nicely.

I took more photos' for documentation. The guys are working on installing the trim tab ram boxes cabin plumbing and fuel lines. The composite decking has been vacuumed bagged for the forward deck and it's ready to be installed once the first layer of plywood has been installed. The inner transom skirt boards are sitting on a table with a fresh coat of epoxy. It looks like they will be installed tomorrow. There are a lot of things happening all at once.

Awesome Buid!

Thanks for the construction photos and thoughts as you build it. It allows us who can't afford the dream to come along during the whole process.

Looks like the attention to detail is on the same level as boatyards who have been at it for 50+ years.

Sweet!

PacificBlue, It's my pleasure to post these pictures and updates. The reason I share the pictures and descriptions is for people to enjoy the process and for those that appreciate craftsmenship.

It's not everyday that see something like this being built especially with the attention to detail and function.

Alex N, that lumber you are asking about is mahogany. It's naturally dark. It has multiple coats of west system epoxy encapsulating it. I don't know if you saw this picture on a previous post. It was taken as they finished the first coat of epoxy.

Here's a few more pictures of yesterday's progress:

How is this for state of the art plumbing? Fittings and tubes courtesy of the John Guest Company. That quick connect system is a heck of a system with absolutly no slipage out of the connections. The plywood to the left with foam underneath is to protect the finish on the frames as they work in that area.

Custom Mahogany piece made for plastic pipe holder.

Shower pump and drain pump.

Hot water.

And some wood work is being done also:
Forward Deck

King Pin and Chain Locker

Toe Rail Blocking

The gentleman working on the toe rail actually makes violins. Now that's talent.
Perhaps I'll call the boat Stradivarius.

Transom door cut out.
