    Blue Heron Poo Protection

There has been a blue heron that has been giving me hell this year as it has decided that my T-Top and rigger were his personal overlook. It crapped all over everything and I'll tell you that this stuff is much more potent than the garden variety seagull crap. I tried a fake owl and it didn't do anything to deter the heron or the gulls.

I found a tidbit on the internet that stated that Blue Heron are very territorial so I decided to try a Blue Heron decoy and mount it on the piling next to my lift. The boat hasn't had a single bit of poop since.

Anyway, I wanted to put this out there for anyone that may be dealing with Blue Heron poo. The heron decoy works!!!

Move the decoy around from time to time.
I think they get used to it if it stays in one place to long.
