would like to know if anyone has used these for a fastening system. dont know much about the product.

from what i gather. if you have a screw that ripps out of wood and there's nothing for it to reatach to. you drill a hole, insert this piece pull some tabs up and this creates a backing to the surface inorder to reatach hardware and/or screws. my searchs haven't worked yet.

I would say no. If you room behind I would go for either toggle bolts or they make a expansion sleeve that when you tighten the bolts down the middle spreads behind the board. Im assuming the prior fasteners were wood screws? If so there are a multitude of epoxy systems that will work clean out the loose shredded wood fill the hole with epoxy let it cure drill a pilot hole and run the screw back in. The epoxy will bond to the wood and in most cases is stronger than the surrounding wood. I myself am a big fan of mechanical fasteners over chemical though.
