Usually use collonite but tried woody wax last season ,you can use it on any surface ,rough smooth , metal it seem to last pretty good
down side is it is real expensive

I use Finesse It 2 first to take care of light oxidation, dirt, etc and then follow up with Collinite Fleetwood. The Fleetwood is a paste so it ain't easy but the finish and protection is awesome.

I have had good luck with Mothers Marine cleaner wax and then I usually use a polish called "Perfect Polish" as a top coat. During the season I swear by Woodys Wax on everything, I even do my reels, but be careful not to get it on your line. Makes clean up fast. Also, if you follow the instructions, Woodys wax goes a long way .

How big is the boat, and does it have gelcoat or is it painted? What condition is the finish?
Just curious as it might make a difference in what you should use. |

I generally start with the 3M Cleaner/wax and use a high speed buffer (disk grinder) and lambswool pad to get the dirt off and put a base shine on. Then using an automotive buffer apply 3M Finesse
This does take some effort, but the boat looks new when done. I generally only do this during a haulout - about every 2 years or so.

I like the Collenite products on the gel coat. A little more work but last longer than most. Woody Wax on the metal work. Woody doesnt last 1/3rd as long on the Gelcoat. I havent tried the Finesse but it sound good too. Happy Wax on Wax Off!!!
