    Best Sunlight Viewable Screen?

A purchased a Raymarine A70 plotter for my cockpit only to discover you can not see in direct sunlight. Is there any plotters out there that truly can be seen in direct sunlight. I know they all advertise sunlight viewable but I have yet to find one that is any good.

Hands down the Simrad NSE series .. its uses LED screen instead of LCD and is substantially brighter and can be viewed from the side .. we have over 300hrs on ours and they have been very reliable, easy to use and offer a broadband fishfinder

    Thumbs up Garmin 740S

I just installed the new Garmin 740S. It is by far the best screen in the biz right now. Every time I use it I am impressed. For the money, it has more features and capabilities than anything I looked at.

I checked out a set in daylight and I was impressed.

They are LCD with LED back lighting. All 100% full dimming Nice feature when running at night and want low light.

The Simrad NSE has a glass screen, no worries about scratches, no need for the blurry screen protecters.
