Best Inboard Fishing Boats 28 - 30 feet

Any opinions on the best Inboard fishing boats 28 to 30 feet?
Making my plans and trying to narrow down the field of possibles.

Best fit and finish including quality of the build and components?

Best Fit and finish for comfort in the cabin and head?

Best Ride and stability?

Best for Seaworthiness to get you home when the weather turns to SH*T?

Best Value - most bang for your buck for all of the above?

Just starting my search but thinking of Carolina Classic 28; Albin 28 Flush Deck; Tiara 29 Open Classic (if I hit the lottery), and Shamrock Mackinaw.

The Carolina Classic seems to do it all for a good value.

Any others you could recommend would be great.

Thanks!

Ialways liked the looks of the Albemarle but have never been on one. I have however spent some time on lobster boats and like a downeaster.

Thanks TBL...I like the ride of the Downeaster's as well. The Shamrock and Albin are semi-displacement hulls and have similar characteristics.

If the Mackinaw is an option stick with the Shamrock. I am sure you are very pleased with the one you have and you will have enough room in the back for a block party. I moved to a 28' Henriques last year and I am very happy with that boat. I wanted to get more of a sportfisherman style instead of the Mackinaw so I moved from the Shamrock. I was extremlt happy with my 246 WAC. That Shamrock fishes a lot bigger than she is. I have been in a lot of slop and never did I feel uncomfortable in the Rock. Do your search on the board for each of your models, there is a ton of info on each of them.

Thank you!

Albin's are very nice... only been on one once, but was a great leasurely day on the bay... not sure about fishing, but I am sure they will do great with their deisels and nice stability.

They can handle crappy seas as well.
