Albemarle... There I said it. Question Answered we can move on now.

Fit, finish, rugged, run in anything. The Albemarle... Raise fish, troll, live aboard for a mionth at a shot. The Albemarle... Bang for buck, thoughtful lay out, easy on the horsepower and fuel... Albemarle...
Drift? Anything but the ALbemarle... Gotta be honest...

I got the chance to look at the 34 judge, I thougt it was a really awsome no bull shit boat. Its a little bigger then you siad but its a pretty sweet ride for the money.

I love our 29 aquasport, just wish we could drop a pair of diesels in it.

I've spent a good bit of time on Shamrocks' 270 Mack (05' and newer) and found it to be a great multi purpose boat.
The big question is what you intend to do with the boat. All mentioned are worthy vessels, but vary in features & function.
If you're thinking of a newer Mack, you'll find with it's tunnel hull it's going to be a bit faster and a little more efficient than the keeled Albin.
It's moderate deadrise will provide less soft of a ride than the Albe, but will definitely be more stable.
The Shamrock can be a wet boat( a dcecnt set of rails really helps), but this is where her enclosed cabin shines. Which brings me to what my domestic administrator & I liked most about the Mackinaw, and that's it's cabin. I'm fairly certain the Mackinaw is one of the only "cabin up" production boats in that size & powertrain.
One of the last boats we had was a 28' Topaz express. The mrs loved it on a pretty day, but wasn't a fan of going below. The Mack has it's big windows w/ 360degree visibility. She loves that. She can be in the cabin, and still see everything. Definitely warm in the summer, but I learned a few 12volt fans in the headliner helped alot.
I'm certainly not going to try to sway you in any direction. Just trying to point out that I feel the choices you present are going to boil down to a personal decision.
No question, this is the best place there is for solid educated opinions, but you'll have to put some homework into which one meets your criteria.
Good luck, and have fun!

Old Glory,

They are all very good boats. It would all come down to personal preference and what your comfortable in..

Being a Carolina Classic 28 owner for the past 4 years, I will say it would be difficult to find a company that stands behind their product better than Carolina Classic. You may have heard this before, but give the factor a call just to ask some questions. You will get either Mac or Keith answering the phone. They do NOT have Voice Mail down there.

Not sure what your looking for, but I have a 99 for sale on this site.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Good Luck in your search.

gotta agree with everything here....the carolina classic boats are built real well...i was down at the factory, just before christmas,i met kieth, and spoke with him at length...kieth showed me around the factory...the build quality is way better than most of the other factories i've been in,and i'm referring to some real big names too !!! the wood core of the bulkheads and the other wood cored areas, the wood is actually sealed on it's end grain !!! anyone know how rare this is ??? the carolina classic boats ride incredibly well, the hardware and equipment used are the best availible, these are an excellent choice for a boat !!! i highly reccomend these...

I second Ocean Master. I found a pic once of a fighting chair mouted on an engine cover platform. And have heard they'll stuff an ice maker onboard. Apparently, they WILL do anything you want if it's possible.
