    colors

I'm not sure if any one color is better than the next all the docks in Stuart Fl have green lites under them. On our boat we have a blueish white color that seems to attract all kinds of stuff at night. I think you would want to make sure the lites you purchase are bright and get out behind the boat. Underwater Lite Usa and Ocean Led are both very good lite companies.

Stay away from white...they are the least productive, and also blind you in the pit. Green and blue are a toss up and many will debate what is better, I have fished boats with both green and blue and both produced plenty of bait and lots of fish. Green travels well in the water, but tends to be a brighter light so to fish and bait that perfer the dark, this will not work as well, blue lights tend to be more soothing from various articles, and honestly, I find them the easiest on the eyes from the pit. Both work well though, but I think the blue has been a little better then the green. When underwater lights first came out, white and green were the only colors, and green outfished white almost every day...reason it became so popular. When ble was offered down the road, it became more popular, it produces just as much fish attracting power as the green and to most boaters looks nicer, does this mean it is better, not exactly. I think they are very close in fish attracting, but I personally like the blue better, as stated a cool blue will be easy on the eyes and will attract plenty of bait, just as much as the green would. I have also noticed blue seems to stay blue in dirty water, grene turns yellowish brown in dirty water, but if your fishing offshore this won;t matter either way. My experience is mostly in the NE canyons with underwater lights. I do have friends in fla who swordfish a bit and they have mostly switched from green to blue and claim it produces more fish, have not been with them in a while so I cannot back this up but I do trust their word. From working in the industry, lately, most bigger sportfish boats have been putting blue lights in over green.

    Question under water lights

Looking for under water lights for my Sea Ray. What is the best make or the one that works the best.I was on the Ocean LED site and they have an oval style that comes in several colors. Any input would be great.

Which size did you get? I've been looking at these for a bit now and they look great on your boat. Did you wire them through the hull? Do you have any pictures in the water?

I wired thru hull im hoping to wet the boat this afternoon & get some pics this evening before pulling it. I can get some wiring pics for you if you would like. I went dubble long with the plan of adding dubble squares to the space between the motors as I free some more cash.

Awesome man can't wait to see some shots of it in the water. I was thinking of doing 3 double longs across the back of mine. I've got 11 feet of beam and going 3 standard size didn't seem like it would be enough. Oh and how did you seal the through hull?
