The best of the best, Carbon Fiber Rod holders for my truck bed

This has been my latest project for my self. I missed christmas but here they are. along with some of the latest christmas stellas and other rods. Also I painted my ugly diesel truck with imron black that I picked up cheap. So I been busy. They are not a 100% done but I wanted to see what they looked like in the truck today. I will finish sanding and clean them up this week end. Carbon tube and all penske board was wrapped in carbon fiber and epoxy.

I have some more projects planned. Making my own out riggers and a carbon radial outrigger holder for my super light carbon fiber T top support. No Welding required. No corrosion to worry about. Very light. No flex. They build the best fighter jets out of carbon fiber not aluminum. Now the fiberglass guy that does all the hard work to build a light and pretty cored T top. He does not need a welder to tell him how to do it. Bo this is my pet project I been working on lately. Oh carbon fiber is very familiar to me. Both my sons were very competitive rowers in those light weight carbon fiber crew shells in school. Guess who did most of the repairs in the region when the kids damaged the boats. That was a learning experience for years. and mostly for free??$? Pictures of my boat project with the carbon pipe will be next week maybe. I still have some cleaning up on the truck bed rod holders. They will be in my shop for a couple days of cleanup and make pretty.

Darkened epoxy putty to join the penske board yes. Then the real strength of the fibers {All very small and tough to mess with}are all oriented in the same direction and when you wet them out they all connect as a solid. Years ago I found this to be the strongest possible fix for some boat repairs that were troublesome. Oh and I am so impressed with penske coosa board also.

Question about the truck itself. Is that a 2500 or a 1500? I like the ride height.

What do you put on it to protect the resin? Varnish? I should have done that to my gimbal launcher.... Oh well, on the next boat.
