in my opinion your best choices would be envinrude 2 stroke but lots of power and fast with good fuel economy or the yamaha 350 great fuel economy very quite and fast

The Yamaha. The Verados fuel economy stinks.

the suzuki. best weight to power ratio wich in turn means most economical. many more aplication possibilities because of less weight. plenty of displacement. very dependable often compared to yamaha wich is top of the line. and best of all its a four stroke.

basically go with anything but the "supercharged" verado becuase you wont get the fuel economy you will like the suz is also a great engine you cant loose with anyone of them

Don't see Honda up there on the list. I'm not an outboard guy, just curious. I have 2 on the back of my boat. Frank

The reason I ask about the Honda's, other than the fact I own a couple. Is a lot (most) of the commercial guy's down here (that use outboard's) in my neck of the wood's use them and get a load of hour's out of them. They tell me pretty much keep the oil changed, use clean gas and go to work. Frank

Honda's biggest is 225hp. I thought I heard rumblings that they were going to try the 300hp market. The 225 is a proven block (Acura MDX). That is a great engine, I love mine. The local "coasties" have them on their RIB's. Local dealer tells me somewhere around 5000hrs and still going strong.
