the 6's we had the turbo rivits took them out...

the mechanic we had showed it to me right after loosing power and black smoking... it took out turbo fins first! they can and do eat valves... yum yum.. anyway the owners just like everything else on that boat Cowboyed up n bought new ones...I put KnN intakes of my own on after that ...NO MORE TURBO RIVITS! ... anyway the yanmars were great in the 440's and still run

mack boring has been great with looking up all serial #'s of any yanmars i have run across..

the valve issue is the only bad thing i have heard about yanmars,most love them...

I'm a Carolina Classic fan and love the looks of the CC28.

That being said, I have always liked the Albin 28TE. They have some great family amenities and I really like the looks of the boat. They are very rugged boats as well.

The CC25 is a lot of boat for the money in the current market but is certainly not in the same size class as some of the boats mentioned.

Pics from day 1 to where she is now and how we didi everything. They do make great outboard rigs. re-sizing a bunch of pics now.

carolina classic

i own a 25carolina classic and i can tell you it will handle more than i can feul burn is great elephant trunk from capemay troll 6/8hrs burn 70 gal (trunk is 54nm).boat has a260 hp volvo diesel,hooked to a douprop. only down fall is the 21kt cruise loaded,ride home i get 23kts(less fuel,less weight) good luck
