    bakelite material sheets

I'm mounting new electronics on helm and have to cover old holes. I was looking for same material that gauges are mounted into. I like the matte finish and about 1/4 thick
does anybody know where to buy and what it's called I need about 3'x16" sheet
    Thanks Mark

    Mark,

I've used Norva Plastics in Norfolk, VA for some projects on my boat. They have a product called "Polycarve" that comes in many different colors and styles that should do what you need. Check out their website, I have no affiliation with them, but they have been very helpful to me in the past. Good luck.

Thanks for quick replys, I am looking for material that is used with most marine AC-DC panels because its smooth and cleans easy. I find starboard to be porous and hard to clean at times
Larry is the Polycarve a smooth finish?

    Thanks Mark

I 've used on a helm anodized black alumimum, its very durable, it looks almost like its painted but nicer and cleans easily . I got mine from McMaster-Carr , mcmaster.com
