    Auto Pilot for 32 regulator twin 300 hpdi

    I have a 6000I Unit on my boat and trying to figure out the best auto pilot to install. I have been told the the simrad was very good but very pricey.I would like to know how the other cc like there auto pilots. I would like to fish some with just 2 on the boat with only one experienced. Thanks

    Great question...I'm in for some help with this one too.
    Fishing a 31 Contender with a Garmin 3210 unit.

    The next bite on a jig.
    Stay away from raymarine. worst money I ever spent on my old grady. TR1 would be one that I would look at if shopping today, but I have had good experience with simrad.

    auto pilot

    I had a 32 regulator with a simrad unit on it. The system worked great and track her straight as an arrow. Was very pleased.

    I was told TR-1 was bought by Garmin...I guess that would be a nice fit. Any thoughts?

    simrad ap24...forget that tr-1...seen some big problems with those units...
    the interface is simple stuff to connect...

    From our experience, either the Simrad or the TR1(yes they were bought by Garmin, but it is a great product). With an outboard you want to make sure to get a unit that does not use a rudder feedback, they are too exposed to the elements on an outboard.

    The new X 10 by Raymarine does the job. No rudder feedback and trolling patterns as well.
