If so which system are you using?
I'm thinking about going with the 110Volt Geared system with 3-6 ports model 990.
Anyone using this model.
Pros and Cons?

I've got the 3 port model and have been very pleased. The only Issue I've had was with the original impeller. It failed after about 5 years. It was easy to replace though.
I wouldn't mind having a couple more ports so that my transmissions were also in the system.
Right now it covers the 2 engines and the genset.
I have the same system and would go with a dedicated port for each piece of equipment (engine, tranny, gen) if I had to do it over. The system is simplistic and works great! My only complaint is that my pump is pretty slow. Takes about 20 minutes to pump out 28 quarts of oil. Mine was original equipment in 1989, the newer models may pump faster.
James,
I'm doing the dedicated lines.
The new system that I'm considering pumps 4 gal per minute.
I looked into the Algae X fuel system add on's and also have a listing on a trawler that had it's own fuel polishing system.
We did a delivery last week that made the ability to self polish something of a luxury. I felt terrible when Chris had to dumpster dive twice while underway to change out racors
Upon reflection an onboard fuel polishing system would be a really nice idea.. a wickedly nice idea
Good call Vin.
That system was decided upon last spring. As a matter of fact it should be showing up any day now. I read an article that Tony Athens wrote on boatdiesel.com and it seems to me to be the best way to go.
I never knew when you add up all of the parts and piece for the fuel system, when done correctly, how expensive it can be. But it's easily justified when considering the cost of the equipment that's being fed by the system.
Now if I can only swallow the cost for the stainless steel exhaust riser system that will wrap up the major engine room components.
